Immerse yourself as Spring emerges with a feast of mixed media painting projects. This 6-week course is aimed at improvers who wish to build upon their existing painting skills. Beginners in watercolour are also welcome as painting projects can be tailored to suit different levels of experience
You will explore the world of watercolours, gouache paint, and an array of drawing media to create captivating paintings. You will try out portraiture, loose botanical painting, wildlife, and a refreshing seascape.
Your tutor will be on hand to guide you through each project and give you personalised feedback throughout your painting journey here at Bexhill College. Week 6 is an exciting chance for you to draw on your experiences from weeks 1-5 and create your very own mixed media project. Come and join a warm and friendly atmosphere and let the creativity begin!

Materials List
1. Good Quality Cold Pressed 300gsm Watercolour paper OR Heavy weight mixed media paper
2. Watercolour brushes (variety of round and flat wash brushes in small, medium & large sizes)
3. Pencil, eraser, ruler & sketch book
4. Watercolour paints (tubes or pans)
5. Gouache paint (tubes)
6. Colour pencils and/or watercolour pencils
7. Fine liner pens (including black & a variety of colours if possible)
8. Masking fluid
The above supplies may be found in high street stores including Hobbycraft, The Works & local stationers. Online art websites & Amazon may be used to source materials.
