This course is open to complete beginners and more advanced artists alike, to learn the techniques of watercolour painting.
Watercolours are a wonderful medium offering many possibilities. They have been used throughout history especially as a means of documenting landscapes and natural histories and continue to be a popular medium to this day, utilised by a number of contemporary artists.
Throughout these sessions students will be guided through the basics of colour mixing, perspective and composition. They will be encouraged to explore their own ways of working with watercolour and will have the opportunity to learn about some examples of watercolour artists.
Each week will encompass a different mini-project furthering student’s understanding of the medium.
