Learn traditional skills and techniques, working with copper and other heritage materials, to support your own design ideas.
Create a range of pieces using techniques such as piercing, soldering and polishing to bring your designs to life. Evaluate and critique the process as your skills develop and you refine your work.
Resources needed:
A4 Sketch pad
Pencils, ruler, drawing materials.
Base metals or silver. (supply own or college can source - prices to suit different budgets such as base metal or silver)
Please note - the Award in Craft has 3 pathways to choose from ;Craft, Textiles and Jewellery making. You can only be certificated for one of these and if you are eligible for funding, you can only be funded for one pathway. You can of course pay to join other pathways for your own enjoyment and skill development.
This course is free for adults who are unemployed or on a low wage.
