It gives learners the opportunity to understand the skills needed for effective communication and is also useful for those considering a career in supporting people who would like to develop their skills.
The course is designed to support progression to level 3.
There will be a variety of delivery methods including presentations, group discussions, case studies and role plays with many utilising individual and peer presentation format.
Communication skills is an essential part of counselling therefore a willingness to participate in role play and reflection is an important part of the course.
