Upcycling is a sustainable way to reuse, unwanted clothing or other fabrics. It is a form of recycling, where the fabric is transformed into something new, instead of throwing it away. For example, turning and old blanket into a bag. Over the 8 weeks you will be able to work on upcycling projects, with guidance from your tutor, as well as learn other ways that textiles can be recycled.
What the course will cover:
Learn the ways that fabrics/clothing can be reused and recycled.
A range of topics can be covered based on the learners' projects and interests.
Resources needed:
* Sewing patterns/projects, that you want to work on
* Fabric/clothing for your projects
* Fabric scissors
* Pins
* Sewing needles
* Machine threads
* Embroidery threads and hoops (if that is something you want to do as part of your projects)
* Sewing machines are supplied
