Want to apply for this course?
The AAT Level 3 Diploma in Accounting is suitable for those looking to acquire the skills needed to move into a career in finance. The course includes a variety of complex accounting tasks, including maintaining cost accounting records and the preparation of reports and returns. There are four compulsory units: Business Awareness; Final Accounting: Preparing Financial Statements; Management Accounting Techniques; and Tax Processes for Business.

Although the AAT does not set any prerequisites for the study of the AAT Diploma in Accounting, we strongly recommend that applicants complete the Certificate in Accounting (Level 2) or alternatively have suitable work experience in an accounting or finance role. We also advise that applicants have obtained GCSE Maths and GCSE English at grade C/4 or above 9 (or equivalent) to allow them to cope with the quantitative skills and technical language that they will encounter throughout the course.

On successful completion, the qualification can lead to a choice of careers, as well as providing progress onto the AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting, a route to higher education or apply for qualified bookkeeper status and use the designatory letters AATQB after your name.

This price includes exam entry costs (resits, if needed, are extra) AAT membership is extra and needs to be paid directly to AAT. Students are encouraged to buy their own textbooks and workbooks. However, textbooks are available to loan from the College library free of charge if required
