The AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting is suitable for those looking to acquire the skills needed to move into a career in finance. The course includes a variety of complex accounting tasks, including maintaining cost accounting records and the preparation of reports and returns. There are six compulsory units: Advanced Bookkeeping; Final Accounts Preparation; Management Accounting - Costing; Indirect Tax; Ethics for Accountants; Spreadsheets for Accounting.

Although the AAT does not set any prerequisites for the study of the AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting, we strongly recommend that applicants complete the
Foundation Certificate in Accounting (Level 2) or alternatively have suitable work experience in an accounting or finance role. We also advise that applicants have obtained GCSE Maths and GCSE English at grade C/4 or above 9 (or equivalent) to allow them to cope with the quantitative skills and technical language that they will encounter throughout the course.

On successful completion, the qualification can lead a choice of careers, as well as providing progress onto the AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting and a route to higher education.

This price includes all exam registration fees and exam entry costs. AAT membership is extra and needs to be paid directly to AAT. Students are encouraged to buy their own text books and work books. However text books are available to loan from the College library free of charge if required
