Bring out your inner artist. This course will cover procedures and techniques, colour mixing exercises and demonstrations to give you the confidence to paint with oils. You will look at the work of different artists and work from photos and life to undertake your personal project.
These classes will be run by an award-winning local artist, who has exhibited across the country and internationally. Throughout the course students will be able to develop their painting skills and explore the possibilities of this exciting medium.
Here is a list of the materials required:
• HB pencil
• Basic Oil or Acrylic painting set (8 colours or so)
• A large palette
• Turpentine (low odour preferably)
• White spirit & rags
• Set of flat brushes (hog preferably)
• Couple of clean tin cans
• Table top easel (large enough for your chosen canvas size)
• 5 canvases or primed boards for painting (up to A3 size)
In the event of any sessions not being able to run in person, classes will continue online.
